Art Manager

We are looking for a talented Art Manager to join the team.


  • Manage the creation, evaluation, and iteration of art development pipelines
  • Demonstrate leadership and management experience with a great eye for art quality
  • Work closely with Design, Programming, and Engine leads to ensure quality and consistency of assets against approved art styles and art creation processes
  • Present precise and constructive feedback to the art team
  • Organize and manage art documentation (including asset tracking, style guide, and pipeline documents)
  • Exhibit inspirational team management skills and inclusive communication
  • Assist in the planning and execution of skill development plans for the Art Department
  • Work with a team across multiple time zones (predominantly GMT and PST)


  • Candidates must be available for full-time work in the Downtown Los Angeles area for this position
  • 5+ years of game development art management or senior-level experience
  • Proven track record managing and delivering high quality-assets for AA or AAA games
  • Have a good understanding of art, design, and technical fundamentals. This includes but is not limited to color theory, form and texture, technical applications to realize the art team’s goals in-game, and how art can serve game design
  • Strong knowledge of art production processes with an emphasis on environment art lead experience
  • Experience working with Photoshop and Maya
  • Experience working with external art teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be comfortable with Github, Perforce, or other comparable version control systems

Bonus Requirements:

  • Experience in character modelling and animation
  • Experience with After Effects, Substance, and additional Adobe Suite programs
  • Experience with task management software (JIRA, Trello, etc.)
  • Experience adhering to brand guidelines
  • Passion for games (retro, arcade/action games are a bonus!)
